Renowned actor Bipin Karki has commenced dubbing for his lead role in the upcoming movie Tel Visa. Karki shared that the film is nearing completion and is expected to wrap up in the coming days.
Director Shankar Ghimire mentioned that only the Nepal-based portions of the film are being dubbed, as the scenes shot in the U.S. were recorded using sync sound. When asked about the film’s title, Tel Visa, and whether it has a sarcastic connotation, Ghimire clarified that the name has been thoughtfully chosen. He emphasized that the film touches on the emotions of every Nepali living abroad, and this theme has been carefully studied and presented.
Karki also expressed his enjoyment of the dubbing process, noting that the film’s strong storyline ensures that audiences will be treated to a high-quality production. While he hadn’t previously watched Ghimire’s films, he praised the director’s work, remarking that despite Ghimire’s long absence from the industry, his dedication to excellence was evident.
Karki further added that, although he had heard that films shot abroad are often made discreetly, Tel Visa was filmed openly with the full permission of the U.S. government. As a result, he found the filming process similar to working in Nepal. He also expressed his happiness at collaborating with actress Pooja Chand, who is making her return to Nepali cinema after nearly two decades.
In Tel Visa, written and directed by Shankar Ghimire, Bipin Karki will portray dual roles—a young man and an elderly character. The film also stars Barsha Raut, Pooja Chand, Richa Ghimire, Buddhi Tamang, and Suchitra Upreti, alongside several international actors.
The film is produced under the banner of Weldon Creations, with Anil Pandey and Shivraj Karki as primary investors. Prince Yuvraj Karki and Shruti Dahal serve as producers. The movie boasts cinematography by Sushan Prajapati, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane and Shishir Khati, music composed by Ashish Aviral, Kalyan Singh, and Krishna Bhardhaj, and editing by Ajay Khadka.
