Trailer Released for ‘Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi’, A Film on the Gandharva Community


Kathmandu: The trailer for the highly anticipated film Poorna Bahadur Ko Sarangi, slated for release on October 31th, has officially been unveiled. The production team debuted the trailer at a special event held today.

The trailer highlights key themes such as the ancestral profession, struggles, love, loss, and the educational challenges faced by the Gandharva community. It presents the harsh reality of how society, despite their deep-rooted cultural significance, often marginalizes them.

Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi is written and directed by Saroj Poudel and features a talented cast including Vijay Baral, Mukun Bhusal, Anjana Barailly, Prakash Saput, and Bholaraj Sapkota, among others. Supporting cast members include Buddhi Tamang, Maotse Gurung, Bhatsak Khanal, Vinod Neupane, Alisa Bastola, Swayam KC, and Janvi Poudel.

Produced by Seven Seas Cinema and Basuri Films, the film’s producers are Binod Poudel and Patrick Subedi, with executive producers Ramesh Chaulagain, Hari Shrestha, and Ramesh Dhakal. The film’s dialogue is penned by Mahesh Dawadi.

Producer Binod Poudel expressed that the film is a heartfelt portrayal of the Gandharva community, focusing on their social issues and struggles. Director Saroj Poudel echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of bringing this community’s story to the forefront of Nepali cinema.
