Kathmandu – David I. Weprin, a member of the New York State Assembly, has honored Manoj Basnet, the General Manager of Annapurna Media Network, for his outstanding skills in media management and visionary leadership. The recognition was conferred upon Basnet on the recommendation of Triveni Times, a media house operating from New York, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Weprin presented him with a written certificate of honor.
The certificate states, “For the past 15 years, Basnet’s exceptional skills and visionary media management have played an unparalleled role in establishing Annapurna Media Network as a leading Nepali media house. In recognition of this, I honor him.” Weprin also praised Annapurna Media Network as Nepal’s most popular, excellent, and influential media house.
Weprin was first elected as a member of the New York State Assembly in 2010 and has been re-elected in every subsequent election. He currently serves as the Chair of the Insurance Committee and is also a member of various other committees, including the Banking Committee, Judiciary Committee, and the Asian Pacific American Task Force.
