Prakash Saput’s Movie ‘Vasant’ Poster Released

Kathmandu – Prakash Saput has unveiled the poster of his dream project, Vasant. The movie, which he has written and directed, features him in the lead. In the poster, Prakash’s character is portrayed as thoughtful and studious, appearing to be both writing and contemplating. On the table, there is a pile of books, and on the wall, images of Laxmi Prasad Devkota and Parijat are displayed, suggesting that he is engaged in literary work.

Vasant showcases Prakash’s skills in writing, directing, producing, acting, singing, and composing. The film is set to release on the 22nd of Chait (Nepali calendar). Due to his previous movies and songs, there are high expectations for this film. While revealing the poster, Prakash shared a heartfelt status about the challenges faced during the making of Vasant. He mentioned that during the production, he had to let go of many things he didn’t want to, including the time for songs, stage performances, and promoting films. As a result, he faced some criticism. However, he believes that if Vasant is successful, it will bring back everything he had to sacrifice.

Prakash shared that in the process of making Vasant, he lost time, friends, and comfort that he had gained from his music career. He also mentioned that making this movie was an effort to fulfill his biggest life dream. He acknowledged that he hasn’t released a new song for over a year and has not been able to attend programs abroad, which he considers sacred.

“I have poured all my colors into Vasant. If Vasant moves you, then I am moved. If it doesn’t, then this is the extent of my talent. This is my limitation. I don’t know anything beyond this. For this life, I am just Vasant,” he wrote. He is confident that Vasant will return everything time took away from him.

Alongside Prakash, the film features actors such as Swastima Khadka, Khadga Bahadur Pun, Prabhat Pal, Shri Shibhanshi, Urmila Lamgade, and others.

The movie, produced under the banner of Galbandi Productions, is being produced by Mohan Bishwa Karma and Bindu Bohara, with Anurodh Bhattarai, Nana Thakali, and Birendra Narayan Shrestha as executive producers. Prakash Saput’s debut film Pardeshi-2 was a major hit, and his recent film Purnabahadur Ko Sarangi also achieved remarkable success. Vasant marks his debut as a director.
