Kathmandu. Singer Binay Karki Chhetri, who began his musical journey in the ’60s with the popular song “Jaba Timi Eklaai Thiyau,” has released a new song.
Karki’s latest release is titled “Kina Chhin Chhin,” written and composed by Kamal Khatri, featuring a duet with Anjana Saru. Saru is the winner of “Image Lokkalakar Season 1.” Reflecting on the popularity of “Jaba Timi Eklaai Thiyau,” Vinay explained that he hadn’t focused on singing for nearly seven years as he was busy with music arrangements.
Now committed to actively returning to singing, Karki participated in “The Voice of Nepal, Season 2,” singing “Bhoomo” in the blind auditions, where all four judges turned their chairs for him. His audition video went viral on social media, though he exited in the second round. Determined to reconnect with his audience, Vinay released “Kina Chhin Chhin” in hopes that listeners will enjoy his new work.
Recently, Binay has also gained recognition for composing background scores for popular YouTube and television series like “Buhari,” “Halka Ramailo,” “Juthe,” and “Naari,” among others.
The music video for the new song is directed by Nitin Chand and stars Shraddha Chhetri, Bikram Pokhrel, and Aarohi Karki Chhetri.
