‘Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho’ release on Asar 27


Kathmandu. The Nepali film “Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho” is set to release on Asar 27 (Nepali calendar), and special screenings have already been organized in various cities across the United States. These screenings took place in Columbus, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh, where the audience warmly praised the film.

Viewers attending the special screening held Monday night in Pittsburgh remarked that as Nepalis living in various parts of the world are gradually forgetting their own art, culture, and traditions, the film successfully revives the importance, charm, and history of the Nepali language. They shared that it is a beautiful film every Nepali speaker should watch.

The cast of “Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho” includes Roshan Shrestha, Vijay Baral, Wilson Bikram Rai, Buddhi Tamang, Ayusha Samal, Narayan Khati, Bhupendra Lingden ‘Mantri’, Subash Bhandari, Bijay Subba, Bijita Pariyar, Devraj Rajbanshi, and Bhanubhakta Sitoula, among others.

The film aims to highlight Nepali language, literature, art, its history, significance, and pride, while also exploring the deeper question of “Who is a Nepali?”

Presented by Ishwar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the film is produced by Gyan Bahadur Pradhan (Roshan) with Mitra Pradhan as the presenter.

Directed by Mitra Pradhan (Nar), a US-based writer, the film is written by Shivam Adhikari. The technical team includes Saurav Lama as the cinematographer, Dev Maharjan for action direction, Samir Miya for VFX, Kabiraj Gahatraj and Pramod Bhandari as choreographers, Banish Shah as editor, and Satyam Rana for CGI.

The film’s music is composed by Dipak Sharma, Bikash Chaudhary, and Thorompho Hyang Rai, with lyrics by Dipak Sharma, Wilson Bikram Rai, Shankar Adhikari Ghayal, and Anish Adhikari contributing lyrics for the Khaijadi song.
