Agency. Following the unexpected success of the Hindi film Hanuman Ansh at the Indian box office, the makers are now set to produce its second installment. Director Vishal Chaturvedi has confirmed that preparations for the sequel have already begun.
Based on the life and spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba, the film was reportedly made on a budget of around ₹2 crore. Although it had a slow start at the box office, the film gained momentum following positive responses from audiences. According to the latest figures, Hanuman Ansh has already crossed the ₹100 crore mark in India.
According to director Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh was originally planned as a trilogy. Following the success of the first installment, the makers are now preparing to expand the story related to Neem Karoli Baba and present it in greater depth in the second part.
