Kathmandu – A promotional song for the Nepali web series “Ghar But in America”, produced in the United States, has been released. The special song, titled “Ghar Chha in America”, is part of the series’ first season. The song portrays the lifestyle and relationships of the Nepali community living in America.
The song features vocals by Nishan Bhattarai, music by Arjun Katuwal, and lyrics by DP Khanal, with additional contributions from Prajwal Khanal. The music video showcases the lead actors of the series.
The series revolves around the story of parents visiting America to meet their daughter and the dynamics of her live-in relationship. Described as a situational comedy-drama, the show presents the ups and downs of Nepali families living in the U.S. in an engaging and relatable manner, according to director and lead actor Bimalesh Adhikari.
Renowned Nepali actress Arunima Lamsal makes her comeback to acting after 10 years, playing a pivotal role in the series. Alongside Arunima and Bimalesh, the cast includes Radha Babu Lamsal, Khem Sharma, Ashish Dahal, and Rozina Thapa in significant roles.
The series is based on a concept by director Adhikari, with script and dialogues written by Bibek Chamlagai. Entirely shot in the United States, the series has been produced by Seven Colors Digital.
