Kathmandu – As the use of drones in Nepali film cinematography becomes more prevalent, the Film Development Board has announced a free 10-day drone pilot training program to enhance the skills of cinematographers. With the increasing use of drones to create more visually appealing scenes, this training will be a special opportunity for cinematographers.
The Board is organizing this training to provide essential legal and technical knowledge for the safe and effective use of drones in film production. In a notice issued on Wednesday, the Board invited Nepali cinematographers to participate in the workshop.
According to Board Chairman Dinesh DC, experts who have studied drone piloting abroad and aviation specialists from the Nepal Police will be conducting the training. A total of 25 Nepali film cinematographers will be able to participate in this training, with application forms available on the Board’s website.
This initiative by the Board is expected to add a new dimension to high-quality visual production in the Nepali film industry and help cinematographers become skilled in modern technology.
