Trailer of ‘Magne Raja’ Starring Kedar and Barsha Released

Kathmandu. The trailer of the film Magne Raja, directed by Rishi Lamichhane, has been officially released. The 3-minute-40-second-long trailer was unveiled during a special event held in the capital on Thursday.

The trailer centers around the film’s lead actor, Kedar Ghimire (popularly known as Magne Budha). It offers insight into the storyline and character portrayals. Alongside Kedar, actors Barsha Siwakoti, Wilson Bikram Rai, Shishir Bangdel, and Sharda Giri are also featured in the trailer. Miss Pabi appears as a television presenter, while singer and former National Assembly member Komal Oli is seen in the role of a judge.

The trailer suggests that the film revolves around the dream of a simple village youth aspiring to become rich. Kedar is seen in multiple avatars throughout the trailer. Magne Raja marks Kedar’s first film in a leading role, as he was previously known for supporting roles.

Scheduled to release on Bhadra 6 (August 22), the film satirically reflects Nepal’s social, economic, and political landscape. The trailer effectively conveys the message that money should not be earned without hard work, and has managed to spark curiosity among viewers.

Produced under the banner of Aarambha Production, the film is presented and produced by Munal Ghimire, who returns to filmmaking after a long gap since his previous film Iccha. He currently serves as the ward chairperson of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City, Ward No. 4, in Dang district.

The film features a special appearance by actor Aryan Sigdel and is shot by Narendra Mainali. Distributed by RR Films, the movie’s story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Samipya Raj Timalsena, with music composed by Deepak Sharma and Babul Giri.
