The poster of the upcoming Nepali film Soltini has been released before the commencement of its shooting. Along with the announcement of the film, a short video was shared, giving an initial insight into the story and themes of the film. Now, with the release of the poster, director Arjun Suvedi has indicated that the shooting process will begin soon.
In the poster, actors Prakash Saput and Parisha Limbu are portrayed in emotions of love and separation. Saput will play the role of ‘Bhimesen Pokhrel’ and Limbu will portray ‘Dilasa Rai’. This pair will be seen together on screen for the first time, generating special interest among the audience. The poster design has been done by Royal Bhimesen .
Soltini will be filmed in the beautiful natural surroundings of Bhojpur, and the film aims to raise a voice against the caste-based discrimination and inhumanity prevalent in society. Additionally, the love story between the main characters will add an extra layer of interest to the movie, according to director Suvedi.
Along with Prakash Saput and Parisha Limbu, the film will also feature performances by Wilson Bikram Rai, Sabbu Gurung, Ravindra Jha, Prakash Ghimire, Prem Subba, Kavita Ale, Sundar Dhital, and Sujan Khatiwada. The music of the film is composed by Prashant Sivakoti and Hercules Basnet, while the cinematography will be handled by Sushan Prajapati. The screenplay is written by Arjun Suvedi and Kumar Bhattarai.
Presented by Planet Three Films and produced in collaboration with Nepcine and YOLO Entertainment, the film is produced by Regina Bist and Sansar Choulagai. The film’s distribution in Nepal will be handled by RR Films Pvt. Ltd., while Nepcine will manage the international distribution. The digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital.
The shooting of Soltini is expected to start at the end of this month (Poush), with a planned release on the 3rd of Ashoj, 2082, which coincides with Constitution Day.
