Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar’s Rato Ghera – The Red Circle Officially Launched


The film is produced by Jeevan Gurung, with Kavita Gurung, Bhojendra Gurung (Bhoj), and Sarun Sherchan serving as co-producers.

Kathmandu: The auspicious launch ceremony (Muhurat) of the upcoming Nepali feature film Rato Ghera – The Red Circle, directed by Anil Budha Magar, was held on Thursday at Banglamukhi Temple in Patan. The film, which is scheduled to begin principal photography on July 10, was officially inaugurated with a traditional script worship ceremony.

Produced under the banner of Bishram Films Pvt. Ltd., the film stars Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar in the lead roles, alongside a cast of nearly two dozen actors. Most of the filming will take place in the Kathmandu Valley. The producers have also confirmed the film’s theatrical release date as December 4.

According to director Anil Budha Magar, Rato Ghera – The Red Circle is a socially relevant and emotionally driven story inspired by true events. Producer Jeevan Gurung said the team is committed to delivering a technically accomplished and narratively powerful film, with the support of experienced artists and a highly skilled technical crew.

The film is produced by Jeevan Gurung, with Kavita Gurung, Bhojendra Gurung (Bhoj), and Sarun Sherchan serving as co-producers. Suman Gurung and Khem Rana are the associate producers.

The film’s music will be composed by Manoj Thapa Magar and Sagar Ale Magar. Kafiya Films has acquired the Kathmandu Valley distribution rights, while Kuber Cine Distribution will handle distribution outside the Valley.

The screenplay is written by Raju Syangtan, with cinematography by Shishir Bisankhe. Sandesh Rai will oversee production management, Janaki Kathayat is responsible for costume design, and Gurkesh Gurung will head the lighting department.

The film also features an ensemble cast including Rajani Gurung, Arun Pun, Sunil Pokharel, Bhola Sapkota, Suraj Tamu, Khabpu, Susmita Kuwar, Bhawana Khapangi Magar, Kavita Ale, Bijay Poudel, Bal Bahadur Gurung, Ingi Hopo Koich Sunuwar, Umesh Sunam, Shekhar Chapagain, Ram Babu Regmi, Subash Gajurel, Subash Singh Thakuri, Ramik Singh Thakuri, Sunil Tamang, and DB Gurung.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, lead actors Daya Hang Rai and Miruna Magar expressed their excitement about being part of a meaningful film inspired by true events. They said they are looking forward to bringing this compelling story to audiences through memorable performances.

The production team believes that audiences can once again expect outstanding on-screen chemistry between Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar, along with a fresh and engaging cinematic experience.
