Bhatbhate Maila to Make Big-Screen Debut as Lead Actor in Teen Tighre Kya Bigre


Kathmandu: Popular comedian Begam Nepali, widely recognized for his iconic character “Bhatbhate Maila” on television and digital platforms, is set to make his debut as a lead actor on the big screen. He has officially signed on to play the protagonist in the upcoming Nepali feature film Teen Tighre Kya Bigre, produced under the banner of Raghuji Films.

Having entertained millions of viewers for years through television, digital media, and live stage performances with his unique comedic style, Begam Nepali is now embarking on a new chapter in his acting career. Best known as “Bhatbhate Maila,” he expressed his excitement about taking on his first leading role in a feature film.

Written and directed by Amardeep Sapkota, the film is scheduled to begin principal photography later this week. The film is produced by Raghunath Sapkota.

According to producer Raghunath Sapkota, the film will feature a strong ensemble cast of well-known and popular figures from Nepal’s entertainment industry. Renowned singer Pashupati Sharma will compose the film’s songs, while cinematographer Sankal Bhujel will handle the film’s cinematography.

The production team has already signed several prominent artists for key roles, including singer Pashupati Sharma, Paritoshika Pant—daughter of celebrated singer Anju Panta—actress Samiya Karki, and popular comedian Prabhat Lama.

A full-fledged comedy entertainer, Teen Tighre Kya Bigre aims to deliver a fresh blend of humor, satire, and wholesome family entertainment. Director Amardeep Sapkota believes the film will offer audiences a unique and enjoyable cinematic experience.
