Kathmandu, Blue Butterfly Foundation, with the support of Butterfly Films and Global Compact Nepal, is proud to present a special charity screening of Lalima, a Nepali film directed by Mr. Roshan Miraz. The event aims to combine the power of cinema with social impact, demonstrating how storytelling can drive meaningful change in society.
About the Film
Lalima is a powerful and thought-provoking film that sheds light on the lives of sex workers and the challenges they face within society. Through a deeply human narrative, director Roshan Miraz portrays the struggles, pain, resilience, and dignity of women who often remain unseen and unheard.
Entertainment With Purpose
This charity screening is being organized under the initiative of Blue Butterfly Foundation’s vision of “Entertainment With Purpose.” Proceeds from the event will be directed toward the Foundation’s upcoming accessibility initiatives focused on Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities in Nepal. The Foundation is working toward the establishment of a sustainable accessible cinema ecosystem in Nepal, ensuring that cultural and cinematic experiences are available to everyone regardless of their physical abilities.
