Kathmandu – Actress Garima Sharma has been signed as the lead actress for the upcoming movie Jante Bakhro, directed by Simos Sunuwar. The official written agreement between the film’s production team and Sharma was signed on Friday.
Garima Sharma was selected for the role of the main actress through auditions. The film is set to begin shooting on the 1st of January, and the lead male actors, Saugat Malla and Ashif Shah, have already been signed on. The production team has confirmed that Sharma will be paired with both actors in the movie.
Garima, who made her debut in Nepali cinema with London to Paris, has previously appeared in Hraswa Deergh and Var and Vadhu. Known for her work in music videos, this will be Garima’s first role as a solo lead actress in a feature film. She has expressed her excitement about the project. The film’s workshop will begin on the 20th of Mangsir, and its release is targeted for the upcoming month of Jestha.
Presented by Muen Entertainment, Jante Bakhro is a comedy film. The screenplay, story, and dialogue are written by Pradeep Bhardwaj, and the film is produced by Santosh Gautam. The film’s story revolves around the traditional feast served to the wedding procession, commonly referred to as Jante Bakhro. Hari Humagai will be directing the film.
