Kathmandu – Following the tremendous success of the debut film Pujar Sarki, Kingdom Network has completed filming its second movie, Fracture. Directed by American filmmaker Ryan Travis, the film is entirely in English.
Nepali actor Aryan Sigdel and Hollywood actor Trenton Rostedt star in the lead roles, with important performances from Buddhi Tamang, Ashish Purush, Anita Pandit, and Gunraj Shrestha. According to Kingdom Network’s producer, Subas Bhusal, the film aims to elevate the Nepali film industry to an international level.
Fracture centers on the story of an American soldier, Jack Stanton, who embarks on a dangerous journey to the Everest region in search of his lost friend. The film showcases various themes of bravery and struggle on screen.
Approximately 70 percent of the scenes were shot in Nepal, in locations such as Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Panauti, Lukla, and the Everest Base Camp. The filming involved both Nepali and American teams, including mountaineering expert Andrew Hughes and two-time Emmy-winning producer Garrett Madison. Cinematography was done by Dakota Deal, known for projects like Army of the Dead.
The producers believe that this Hollywood collaboration in Nepal will attract an international audience and promote Nepali tourism. Although the release date is yet to be announced, a global release is being prepared.
Upon the American team’s departure from Nepal, Film Development Board Chairperson Dinesh DC presented the team with Dhaka topis and a Nepali location guide as souvenirs.
